Thankfulness to God and gratitude to Mrs. Eddy impel...

Thankfulness to God and gratitude to Mrs. Eddy impel me to send my testimony. I had not read Science and Health long when I saw it was what I had always needed and sought. I had severe stomach trouble and wanted to go to a practitioner, but as our minister was so against Christian Science I went first to ask him to take my name off the church record, and on my way home I noticed I was healed. Years have passed and the healing has been permanent. Since then my health has been wonderfully restored. I am so thankful for the Lesson-Sermon and the periodicals. I wish the whole world knew how much we have to thank God for and felt the gratitude we feel to Mrs. Eddy.

Mrs. S. D. Swarts, Barclay, Kan.

I can honesty verify my mother-in-law's healing of stomach trouble. It was through this healing and her study of Christian Science that I became interested in it. I have been healed of many physical ailments through the study of Christian Science, but to me the most wonderful healing is the overcoming of the belief in the reality of matter. Having been a member of a denominational church since childhood and a teacher in the Sunday school for a number of years without being able to overcome either an inherited weak body or an unpleasant disposition I turned to Science, and since doing so my health is much better than it was ever known to be. I have also been healed to a great extent of hatred, jealousy, and anger, through reading the literature. This has proved to me that Christian Science is indeed the truth and heals man of both sin and disease as our Master did. For this reason I am deeply grateful to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for giving us the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and founding our literature that we might obtain a better understanding of God and the Bible.—(Mrs.) Clara M. Swarts.
