Christian Science came to me in a time of great need

Christian Science came to me in a time of great need. I had never been well, and had been quite ill for some years when it was presented to me. I lived in the western part of the state and was so situated that I could not attend church or be with those interested in the subject. My healing was very slow, but after studying "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy and having absent treatment from a practitioner, I was freed from a tapeworm and from that time began to improve in health. It has been seventeen years since I became interested in this teaching. At that time I was an invalid and unable to wait on myself; now I am a well woman, able to support myself and help others. Christian Science is so practical and is a great help to me in my business life.

I especially want to express my gratitude for the Sentinel, for in the earlier years of my interest in Christian Science this periodical was a wonderful help. It was such an awakening to realize that God is Mind. I am grateful for the physical healing which followed, but more grateful for know each day that God is my Life. During the long illness and the passing on of my mother I was lifted somewhat above the human sense of death and was able to know that there is no separation in Truth. Later, when it became necessary for my father and myself to break up our home, Christian Science met all my needs.

My greatest enemy has been fear, and Jesus' words, "Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom," have been of great help to me. I find that as I love my neighbor as myself, this fear is being eliminated. I am thankful to God and grateful to Mrs. Eddy and to all those who have helped me.
