I want to express my thankfulness to God, who through Mrs. Eddy's clear consciousness has opened up the way for me to understand in a degree His omnipotence and love. I have been a searcher after truth through all the cults and isms, but never found in them the truth and the unity of thought expressed through Christian Science. It never occurred to me to turn to God as the great Physician in any of my troubles. Since I have taken up the study of Christian Science, however, I have been healed of chronic throat trouble and other ailments, and I know that I stand firm on the rock of salvation.

One night I was taken suddenly ill with severe pains in the lower abdomen, and they became so severe that I lost consciousness several times. My mother helped me at first; but a practitioner was afterward called, because my body was swollen and I could not breathe deeply or move, as the suffering was so intense. The practitioner responded very lovingly and remained with me several hours during the day. I had perfect faith in God, and proved it by refusing to have a doctor's diagnosis. Within twenty-four hours all the pain had left, the swelling subsided, and I lay there peacefully, knowing that God meets every need. I ate well and in about ten days was up and doing things around the house. It was not only the physical healing which proved the allness of God, but the love that was manifested in ways entirely unexpected, showing that we are all God's children.
