I desire to make known the great good that has come to me thorough Christian Science. A number of years ago I had a physical collapse while doing hospital duty, and it incapacitated me from further duty for several years. During that time I tried various kinds of treatment, and also a strenuous course in dieting, but there did not seem to be any improvement and I was thoroughly discouraged. Finally, however, I improved enough to resume my duties as nurse.

Christian Science was first brought to my attention when I was attending a patient in a family of which some members were Scientists. I never gave it any serious thought, but noticed particularly the harmony that prevailed amid the most trying circumstances. When a second collapse came I faced the situation, and found that I had not the slightest confidence in medicine, and felt that other methods might relieve but did not cure. I therefore decided to give Christian Science a fair trial and be obedient to anything that was required of me, so made an appointment with a practitioner. I took treatment for three weeks and felt that there had been some improvement, but I decided to stop treatment and investigate the Christ-cure for myself. A copy of Science and Health was purchased, and I began to study it faithfully, with the result that I have been in excellent health nearly ever since; in fact, I have been doing strenuous duty the past eight years with only one vacation.

I cannot express in words the gratitude I feel toward Mrs. Eddy for giving this wonderful Christ-cure to the world, so that we can understand to a degree the true meaning of the Master's words, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also."
