A few years ago a gentleman arose at a Wednesday evening meeting and said that a person who attended the testimony meetings week after week and did not express his gratitude for benefits received, was like a sponge which soaked up water and gave nothing in return. I have many times thought of those words, especially after reading the testimonies in the Sentinel and Journal and deriving much good from them, so I desire to do my part in writing to the Sentinel, which is the surest means of reaching those who have helped me.

Christian Science came into our home some eighteen years ago, when a sister was restored from a life of invalidism to happiness and usefulness. To mortal sense she was helpless with what is known as St. Vitus' dance. She could hardly walk across the floor without falling, and could scarcely feed herself at the table. It was a pitiful case, which the doctors pronounced hopeless. After two weeks of treatment there was a radical change in her appearance, and at the end of a year she was almost her normal self. Today she owes her rugged health to Christian Science. This healing seemed almost a miracle, and we became much interested in the study of Science and Health.

Through the realization of the allness of God I have been brought out of several serious illnesses, among them diphtheria, and typhoid fever in its worst form. I have also been healed of headaches, which had been "a thorn in the flesh" for several years. I am grateful for these healings, but more so for the wonderful improvement in disposition, as irritableness, impatience, and an ungovernable temper have practically gone out of my life.
