Among the Churches

Current Notes

South Pasadena, Cal.—At the beginning of the year First Church of Christ, Scientist, voted to purchase the two lots at the northeast corner of Oak Street and Fremont Avenue for a building site. This church was organized five years ago with seventeen charter members, and the first service was held Sunday, Jan. 21, 1912. A Sunday school was organized, and reading rooms were opened in Jacob's Hall, which had been rented for the church services. This hall was outgrown in two years, and in August, 1914, the church secured the Woman's Club House for its services. The building fund was started soon after organization.
