We have been interested in Christian Science for about ten years, and during that time our household, consisting of four members, and had many opportunities of proving the practicability of God's laws in healing "all manner of disease." My sister had suffered for years with chronic bowel disorder, and not until after a physician had exhausted his efforts and recommended an operation, and after a minister had prayed that only if it were God's will could we look for relief, were we finally interested in Christian Science sufficiently to ask for help in that direction. The operation was not performed, but instead we were shown how to accept the power of God, and my sister was healed.

This healing, the first in our home brought about through Christian Science treatment, was wonderful to us, but it seemed that each one must have individual experience and proof. I was suffering from hives and had been "grievously tormented" with them for about three years. Physicians did their utmost for me, but I steadily grew worse and was compelled to give up my position. As a last resort and with little faith I turned to Christian Science, and was healed in two treatments.

Later we were again witnesses of the power of divine Love in the healing of my mother. She was seized with hemorrhage, and it seemed that dissolution was inevitable; but the understanding and application of God's law again made null and void man-made or material laws, and she has enjoyed as never before health, happiness, and in a measure that peace "which passeth all understanding." We are all deeply thankful for this healing—more than words can express.
