Christian Science is a source of boundless blessings to me. It is daily teaching me to know more of God. I had always been told I should trust in Him to help me at all times, but He seemed far away. Christian Science has not only taught me that God is Love, and that divine Love is ever present, but also how to prove it.

The ever-presence of divine Love, to comfort and heal, was proved to me in time of great trouble, when news came to me from India that my dearly loved and only sister had passed on. The shock was at first terrible, but the peace and comfort derived from what I had learned in Christian Science was unspeakable. A great sense of separation brought with it a feeling of extreme loneliness, but during the night, which was spent with my Bible and the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, the words of our Master, "Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world," became a living reality to me. These words brought me great peace and comfort in the light which Christian Science had thrown on them, revealing the ever-presence of the Christ.

Although this experience was two years ago, this understanding has enabled me to feel the omnipresence of Love more and more, and I have never been lonely since. In those dark hours the definition of angels in Science and Health (p. 581) as "God's thoughts passing to man," was a great help to me, for the angels of His presence did indeed bear me up and keep me safe. This experience has been very helpful to me during this great war.
