It is with a heart overflowing with gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me and is doing for the world that I add my testimony to those of the many thousands everywhere who are expressing their thankfulness to God for the truth revealed to us through our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and which is freeing us daily from sorrow, sin, and disease. I came to Christian Science, not so much for the physical healing, but because of a great sorrow and disappointment, when life seemed very dark and not worth living. I learned, however, through the study of the text-book, that our happiness does not depend on material things, for, as Jesus taught, to know God aright is life eternal, and I am beginning to understand in a small degree the omnipotence of God.

Christian Science has been my only physician for over three years, and it has healed me mentally, also of a serious form of throat trouble, besides many minor ailments, and in that time I have seen almost every disease met by this wonderful truth, which is growing dearer to me each day as I strive to put into practise what I have learned. My healing was slow, and I had a great deal of help, but now I am grateful for that, as it enabled me to strive harder to overcome evil with good. The Lesson-Sermons given in The Christian Science Quarterly are my daily guide, as they unfold the spiritual truths of the Bible.

It has been my privilege in the past year to visit some of the different churches from coast to coast, and it is indeed gratifying to see the wonderful progress and growth of this truth. I am more grateful to God than words can express for Christian Science, and to Mrs. Eddy for her writings, which are enabling me to work out my life problem.
