I feel it my duty, as one greatly benefited by Christian Science, to tell of my experience, and I hope these few words will bring cheer and help to some one who may be suffering with the same complaint. For at least twenty years I was a sufferer from a stomach disorder, and during the past five years it had taken a serious turn. I was losing flesh, was nervous, and almost on the verge of prostration. My case was pronounced an aggreavated one, and materia medica seemed baffled. I had tried almost all kinds of medicine, but to no avail. I was finally advised to take a six-months rest, but I did not feel that I could leave my business that long. Christian Science treatment was recommended to me about this time, and I decided to try it. Although I had not the least confidence in this method of healing, I was ready, like a drowning man, to grasp at anything, and in three weeks' treatment I was healed of what materia medica had failed to remedy in twenty years' trial, and am now well.

While I sought Christian Science for physical healing, I received more than I expected, for at the same time I was healed spiritually. As I am a business man, I never seemed to have time for anything pertaining to the spiritual; but now it is different. Whereas I was blind, spiritually, now I see. I am indeed happy over my understanding of Christian Science, and my heart is full of gratitude to God for all my blessings. I feel that I cannot do too much in return for all the benefits I have received through the study of our literature, and I am grateful beyond expression to Mrs. Eddy for all the truth that came to her through her faithfulness.—Leopold C. Stiefel, Angola, Ind.

I had suffered from nervous exhaustion for more than two years, during which time I was almost constantly under the care of physicians. I had consulted doctors at home and in other places, with but little relief. Besides the prostration and weariness, I had stomach trouble, requiring a strict diet. I suffered a great deal with my eyes, being unable to read at all, and even driving was impossible, as at times I could not raise my eyes to look about. Besides all these ills, neuralgia often manifested itself.
