I am more grateful than words can express for the knowledge...

I am more grateful than words can express for the knowledge of God that I have gained through Christian Science. In taking up the study through the seemingly hopeless condition of one dear to me, not realizing that it was for myself as well as for another, I was overwhelmed with the knowledge that God is all-power, and this thought has been with me constantly in the three years I have been in Science, enabling me not only to help myself out of difficulties, but to help others. In the first reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our beloved Leader, I was enabled to leave off the steel insoles I had worn in my shoes for five years. Severe headaches have also been entirely overcome and eye-glasses have been discarded; but the greatest blessing comes to me in "following Christ in the daily life" (Science and Health, p. 179), for we not only thus preach the gospel, but heal the sick, and free the sinner from his bondage, through God's power. The Christian Science Sentinel, Journal, and Monitor are food for the hungry, and with our Leader's writings and this Christian Science literature we can "feed the hungry, heal the heart," as Mrs. Eddy has said (Poems, p. 14).
