Holyoke (Mass.) Nautilus

Permit me to offer a word of appreciation for your excellent comment on the leading communication published in your column "Little Visits" in the January Nautilus. Those who appreciate even in part the wonderful uplift which Mrs. Eddy's work is giving humanity, are quick to point out that criticism of this good woman or her work is based, to say the very least, upon ignorance of her purpose. Her untiring effort has made all mankind, broadly speaking, its beneficiaries. Wherever fear has been lessened as a result of her teaching that God's infinitude does not embrace evil or its consequences (and this is a point to which I respectfully call the attention of another of your contributors in the same issue), a debt of gratitude is incurred to be discharged by imparting this reassuring truth to others. Generosity in one's thought keeps open the door for the constant replenishment of good, and the expression of appreciation opens the way for the entrance of greater blessing.
