About eleven years ago I was advised by my mother to try Christian Science. I was ill in many ways, the worst trouble being a goiter. I had tried everything within reach for this disease; I had three physicians, went to New York to consult a specialist and was given no encouragement at all, so when I went to a Christian Science practitioner I had no faith that it could cure me and went only to please my mother. For months I had not had a good night's rest, but the night following my visit to the practitioner I slept well and was surprised on waking to find it broad daylight. The night had seemed so short and my sleep so refreshing that new hope sprang up in me. I continued to improve, and the growth that had been three years in developing left in three weeks.

I was indeed grateful and shall always be, but the dawn of this truth is greater than the physical healing, and each day it brings an understanding and courage I never before knew. Everything is seen and understood with a new and different meaning after studying our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. This has made our home pleasanter as well as healthier. I can call to mind about a dozen people who have taken up the study of Christian Science through my healing and by the passing along of the Sentinels and Journals. I hope I may always be a faithful follower of our dear Leader and her text-book.
