Myself and family are not Christian Scientists and know very little of its teachings, but a gentleman in the employ of the same firm as myself had told me of some of its cures. What follows will tell others how I proved its power to heal. My youngest child had a hard attack of whooping cough, and one day while in a paroxysm of coughing he fell over backward in such a way that a doctor said he had dislocated his neck, or that one of the ligaments was broken. The child lay in a state of coma for five hours, and having tried all physical means without any effect, the doctor gave him up and said he would pass away in a few hours.

I then telephoned to my friend, and appealed to him to have a Christian Science practitioner take the case. He did so, and a lady with whom he was acquainted gave the child absent treatment. In twenty minutes he came to, and in a few hours he seemed to be his natural self. I must say that no one was more astonished than ourselves, unless it was the physicians.—G. W.
