It is with great pleasure and thankfulness that I write of the following experiences in Christian Science. In January, 1909, our baby was taken suddenly ill with bronchitis. When he was nearly at his worst, a Christian Science practitioner whom we knew made us a friendly call, and my wife asked her to give our baby treatment. She did so, and soon after she left our house; but before she had gotten out of sight there was a marvelous change in the baby for the better. He was directly afterward taken upstairs and put into his cot, and he slept soundly all night. The following day he was quite well, and since then has had no other attack.
I myself had hurt my back by doing heavy work to which I was unaccustomed. I suffered for nearly three weeks, so much so that I could scarcely walk; but one afternoon, when getting off my office stool, I was surprised at not feeling the usual pains, and at once began to bend my back to see if I was dreaming; but I was not, for the pains had gone! When I got home my wife asked me if I was better. I replied that I was, and went through various movements to show her that this was true. My wife then told me she had asked the practitioner mentioned above to give me treatment, and this was the happy result. Further, before coming into Christian Science I was troubled very often with headaches and biliousness; but now these ailments do not trouble me, for with my understanding of Christian Science I have overcome all indications of any such attacks.
Christian Science has brought health, happiness, and contentment into our home, and we are morally and spiritually thankful for it, and feel now we cannot do without this healing truth.
