"A great many people are under the impression that it takes a long while to read the New Testament," remarked a well known preacher the other day, "but as a matter of fact it only requires sixty hours for the average reader to read the entire book; or, in other words, if a man were to read an hour each day he would finish the book inside of two months. I told this to a business man once, and he said he didn't believe me. Thinking it would be a good plan to get him to read it at any rate, I advised him to try, and the result was that he reported that he had read everything in it within forty hours."
