Words fail me when I try to tell of the help I have received from the study of Mrs. Eddy's writings. I was healed of misery and suffering of long standing, and have since continued in better health than I ever expected to have. I am daily praising God for Christian Science, which is the fulfilment of John's prophecy, "Behold I make all things new." It is the new and nobler life that we covet, and it is indeed from God and of Him. We do well to give up the idea, once and for all, that spiritual progress is under bonds to material sense.

The first benefit I received through Christian Science was from a very serious accident. My wife read to me from Science and Health, which gave me almost instant relief from pain. The next morning I was unable to get up, but my wife went for a Christian Science practitioner, who gave me treatment, and I was able to be up in three days. I was also healed of rheumatism and stomach trouble of many years' standing. Afterward my horse fell with me, and my foot was severely injured. I had a few treatments, and though I was a little lame, I was able to do my work, and in a short time the foot was as perfect as the other. Recently, when my horse slipped on the ice and fell, my wife, daughter, and myself were thrown out; but we all escaped unhurt by declaring the ever-present help of divine Mind.

I am very thankful to God, and to Mrs. Eddy for bringing to us this spiritual understanding.
