Christian Science found me in a very dark hour, when I seemed to be mentally and physically a wreck. I had a complication of diseases which medical men pronounced incurable, among them dropsical and heart trouble. I could not lie down, nor had I done so for months, and dared not go to sleep. It seemed as if the end had come, as the doctors, the best that could-be got, said there was no help for me, and that I could last but a few days at most. My daughter called in a neighbor who was a Christian Scientist, and she advised me to give Christian Science a trial, as she was sure I would be healed. I said I was willing to try it, so my daughter went for a practitioner, who came and gave me treatment, and I was healed at once. I went to bed that night and slept soundly; got up the next morning and went about my housework.

I have also made some good demonstrations myself, one in particular in the case of a burn. My little niece fell against the hot stove and burned her face very badly. I took her away by herself and declared the truth. She did not cry any more and had no scar left. I feel truly thankful to God for the help I have received in Christian Science.
