THE SUIT IN CONCORD

Through the courtesy of The Concord Patriot we are able to print below a copy of the intervening petition filed by Streeter & Hollis in the Superior Court for Merrimack County, at Concord, N. H., Tuesday, April 2, in the proceedings commenced about a month ago by the so-called "byline" of Rev. Mary Baker G. Eddy. The purpose of this petition is to carry into effect the wishes of Mrs. Eddy in regard to her property, and to substitute the trustees appointed by her in place of the self-constituted "next friends" who entered the suit in her name, but without her consent.

Hon. Henry M. Baker, Chairman of the Trustees appointed by Mrs. Eddy, is a lawyer, ex-member of Congress, and at present a member of the New Hampshire Legislature. He is a cousin of Mrs. Eddy. Mr. McLellan is Editor of the Christian Science Sentinel. The Christian Science Journal, and Der Herold der Christian Science. Mr. Fernald is President of The National State Capital Bank of Concord.
