The writer has been interested in Christian Science many years and personally knows of many families whose hearthstones have been made bright and happy through its beneficent influences, and these years of experience do not reveal a single instance where Christian Science has been the cause of separation. It is true that this Science generally appeals first to one individual member of a family, as that member may have greater need of its help than the others. But Christian Science insists that the individual shall prove the practical value of its teaching by living it rather than by preaching to others, and since it insists on the individual reflecting more Christ liness, surely there can be no cause for dissension traceable to this teaching on that score. Christian Science makes better and healthier men and women; the result is better and happier homes and an influence for good in the community.
