I would be most ungrateful if I did not express my thanks for all that Truth has done for me and mine. Ten years ago, Christian Science was first brought to our notice by an old friend of my husband, who was an officer in the army. At this time some of us were always sick, and every time my husband met his friend, he would talk to him of Christian Science and what it could do. My husband would come home and tell me about it; but I did not pay much attention to it until our eldest daughter, who had always been delicate, was taken with very bad spells of heart trouble, and the doctors could not help her. We then decided to try Christian Science, and sent for the friend, who came about noon and talked to us. When I found that it was God who did the work. I was willing to trust this one child to His care, as I had lost three by the doctors' methods. Our friend gave a treatment and went away. That afternoon, my baby, sixteen months old, went to sleep, and slept peacefully for four hours. This was something she had not done, either day or night, since her birth, and I was quite anxious about her, but when she awoke we found that she was all right and we wondered much. The one who had been treated was also quite harmonious, but the greatest cause for wonder was that we all went to bed that night and never wakened until morning, something we had not done since the birth of our baby. When the practitioner came next day we told him about it, and he said it was due to the power of Truth. I told him I could not account for it, for I did not know that anything but opiates could produce sleep. The eldest girl continued to improve rapidly, and never had any more of the spells.

We now have no other treatment but Christian Science in our family. I have this and many other blessings to be thankful for. I am grateful for our Lesson-Sermons, and for our Church. Words fail to express my gratitude to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the revelation of Truth given to a needy world through "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
