I realize that all should express their thankfulness for blessings received. I was interested in church work for fifteen years prior to 1898, but I became conscious of a lack of practical knowledge of God which would satisfactorily meet our daily needs. Through a spiritual longing to know more of God, I began to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, From the first "it satisfied my longing" and I felt sure that its pages were revealing to me the Truth of being. Before I had finished the reading of the book, I suddenly remembered that my medicine had been totally neglected, and fear seemed to be uppermost at the thought of the suffering which must ensue. Then the thought came, that as no bad results had yet been experienced, why need I fear, if this "little book" gives the right understanding of God? So, leaving all for the truth taught therein, I became conscious that sick-headache, constipation, with its attendant evils, as well as astigmatism, had all fled before the light. Although I am very grateful for the physical healing, which was unlooked for, I am much more grateful for the spiritual healing, and for all this I wish to express love and gratitude to our dear Leader, through whose loving sacrifice the rediscovery of this great healing truth has been made possible to all mankind, making them, "every whit whole." —

Mrs. Ellen L. Coleman, Cotuit, Mass.
