In the fall of 1896 my husband, who worked in a shop,...

In the fall of 1896 my husband, who worked in a shop, accidentally struck his left hand on an emery wheel, making a large hole in the hand and severing the cords. He went to a doctor and had it dressed, then he came home and told me. I immediately wrote to a Christian Science practitioner, and the next day received word that he would do all he could. The doctor told my husband not to use his hand, and to keep it in a sling, which he forgot to do. He used his hand for all kinds of work, and the doctor did not dress it again. In three weeks he was at work in the shop, the hand well. What has always surprised me was the fact that three days before it healed up we could lay a small marble in the wound. All who spoke to me at the time said that his hand would never be straight, but it is, and he has never had the slightest trouble from it. That is only one of many cures that we have had in our family, for all of which I thank God, and also Mrs. Eddy.—L. J. B., Marlboro, Mass.
