Christian Science found me a great sufferer with nervous prostration, stomach troubles, constipation and its attendign ills. Besides these troubles I was very greatly weakened by two tumors on my body which had been opened by surgeons some two years before this time, and which had never healed, although I was under continual treatment.

I was induced by a kind neighbor to try Christian Science, and as medicine and travel had not produced the desired effect, I decided that Science could at least do me no harm. I took about two weeks' treatments and was entirely healed of my troubles, which included the healing of the tumors. This was eight years ago, and I am very glad to say that I have never had the least desire for medicine since.

Through the kind and loving work of the student and teacher who helped me I was led to receive class instruction and my real life began to unfold from that hour. From the worst type of infidelity I soon began to study and enjoy the Bible. I soon learned that there is a God, and that He is the only Cause and Creator of all that really is. As these thoughts unfolded to me, the sins which were many began to fall away, and without any direct effort the desire for smoking and drinking left me and my disposition began to undergo a great change. As time goes on I am still looking and praying for more of this truth, endeavoring to put aside "the old man with his deeds," realizing that as this is accomplished I am being renewed in spirit.
