There is no Refuge in Obscurity

Clear thinking is distinctly Christian, and every statement of Truth and its manifestation must be sane, self–consistent, and logical.

Principle is exact, and nothing surely can be an adequate and fitting expression of it, which does not meet the most exacting tests. He who would escape from a wellnigh universal bondage to the indefinite, must awaken to the unvarying consistency of Truth's discriminations, and maintain unfailing loyalty to the logical content of its statement.

When pressed to the wall, error often retains its hold upon humanity by clothing itself in some well sounding, but seldom used generalization which, when subjected to careful analysis, reveals a far more dangerous fallacy than that from which its victims are seeking escape.
