I would like to tell of a little demonstration with our three-year-old child. It seems so small, indeed, that mortal mind would fain hold me back from this good work, but I know if we are faithful, the lesser demonstration will fit us for the greater.

A case of cold, followed by various complications and attended by much fever, seemed to make him quite a sick little boy. I had rocked him into a light slumber, all the while trying to realize God's presence and power. He had taken very little nourishment for some hours, and awoke in a short time, asking me to lie down with him. Presently he stopped crying and the fever seemed suddenly to leave him. He drank the milk which was standing by his side and requested me to dress him that he might visit his uncle, who lives a few doors above. He walked out of the door laughing happily, and the ailment of two weeks' standing disappeared.

I felt so truly grateful to God, that I promised myself I would not postpone any longer this duty. My sister had been helping the child, and we rejoiced together.
