Thanksgiving Day Services

The  interest manifested in our initial Thanksgiving Service has given further evidence of the presence among Christian Scientists of that spirit of sincere gratitude which above all others they have occasion to exhibit.

Threatening and somewhat disagreeable weather did not interfere with an attendance which crowded every part of the auditorium, and which included many strangers and friends. All seemed to enter most heartily into the service and thoroughly to enjoy it, and the day will abide as a pleasant memory, a permanent influence for good, and an evidence of the wisdom of our Leader in instituting it.

The published programme was followed, including the reading of Psalm 145 as a Scripture lesson, and the joyous singing of hymn No. 9, "Our God shall reign," and No. 151, "How beauteous on the mountains."
