Saved from Blindness

Evening Democrat

Editors Evening Democrat:—

In the Democrat of April 27 is an item recording the fact that a man, a former resident of your city, was saved from blindness through Christian Science, yet the writer of the item was so little impressed by this marvelous occurrence that he was unable to report it seriously. Perhaps it should not occasion surprise that it is lightly spoken of, for it is recorded that when Jesus entered the house of Jairus, whose daughter he raised from the dead, the people "laughed him to scorn." But permit me to say that it should be a matter for serious consideration instead of levity that "these signs" are following "them that believe," and that Christian Science is a demonstrable religion which is healing the sick, giving sight to the blind, and feet to the lame, as well as reforming the sinner.
