A Song of Light

"Let there be light," and lo, across the darkened consciousness there gleams the softening dawn of Truth's eternal day.

"Let there be light," behold a newly kindled torch,—awakened life,—re-lit with heavenly fire from Love's refulgent land.

"Let there be light," and o'er earth's barren wastes the Holy Spirit's fadeless beacon cheers the sick and fainting heart.

"Let there be light,"—forth springs the perfect man,—the child of Light,—reflecting Spirit's changeless glow.

"Let there be light,"—thus vanishes the night of matter's reign,—thus gleams the Christ-day over all.

"Let there be light,"—forth from the bosom of the Infinite,—the Father of all Light,—the sun of righteousness with healing in His wings,—bursts forth o'er all the earth.

Let there arise in every heart the one true Light which lighteth all the world with peace and love.

"Let there be light;" "Let there be light."
