Among the Churches

The thought of Christian fellowship has not slumbered in our midst during the past year, but has assumed more definite proportions, both spiritually and materially. We are glad to announce to the Field that the Christian Scientist in Omaha are now worshiping together under one roof, and have been for the last three months. It is occasion for rejoicing with us all that this demonstration has been made.

We can now look forward to the time when First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Omaha, shall have a church edifice of its own. We are at present occupying a rented church building which is fast becoming too small for our congregation. We know that every need will be supplied in God's own way and time. Our building fund has beed added to during the year, and the time is not distant when far greater activity will be manifested in this direction. The imperative demand upon every one of us is that we shall individually manifest more and more of divine Love This demonstration is already taking place to a marked degree, as the thought of personality is giving way to a more impersonal sense of Truth and Love.

Two lectures were delivered here during 1899, the first by Mrs. Knott, early in May, and the last by Judge Clarkson, on the twenty-second of December. Both of these lectures have wrought a blessing to our church as well as to the community. Especially have the informal remarks made by these lecturers to the students contributed to our present harmonious relations. The remarks made by our last lecturer will long be remembered by those who heard them.
