News of the World closes; editors held over hacking

Two former editors at the British “News of the World” paper were arrested on Friday in connection with allegations of corruption, phone hacking, and illegal voicemail interception. The popular tabloid is the center of a media scandal, and faces accusations that it hacked into the phones of more than 7,000 people. “News of the World” is set to close its doors after publishing its July 10th edition, and Prime Minister David Cameron announced that a public government inquiry would investigate.
