Principles of Christian healing

The theology and materia medica of Jesus were one, and this divine unit of Truth that healed the sick and cleansed from sin is the method of mental healing that I set forth and have named Christian Science .

"What are the advantages of your system of healing over the ordinary methods of healing disease?"

We claim for healing by Christian Science the following advantages: 1st. It does away with all material medicine, and recognizes the fact that the antidote for all sickness, as well as sin, may be found in Mind; in mind, also, is the cause of all "the ills that flesh is heir to." 2d. It is more effectual than drugs, and cures where they fail, thus proving that metaphysics is above physics. 3d. A person who has been healed by Christian Science is not only healed of beliefs of disease, but is, at the same time, improved morally. The body is governed by mind, and mind must be improved before it can govern the body harmoniously. The body is but thought made manifest.
