Sudden sickness healed

One morning as I sat at my computer, I noticed that the screen and the words were going blurry. I felt faint and began to have chills and to perspire excessively. I was alone in my home office and called out to my wife, who did not hear my shouts because she was in another part of the house.

Immediately I repeated “the scientific statement of being” from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. It reads: “There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter. All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all. Spirit is immortal Truth; matter is mortal error. Spirit is the real and eternal; matter is the unreal and temporal. Spirit is God, and man is His image and likeness. Therefore man is not material; he is spiritual” (p. 468).

This spiritual truth arrested my slide into fainting, but I continued to have perspiration and chills. A very clear thought came to me to use my cellphone to reach my wife. It was nearby, and I had enough strength to open it up and hit the automatic dial of our residence phone number.
