Choosing life in the face of death

Recently, a mother and her daughter described to us their experience of protection and spiritual growth when the daughter was involved in a severe car accident.

Vicki: It can be a very frightening experience to hear a strange voice at the other end of the telephone saying, "This is the emergency ward." I received such a call one evening from a small hospital across country.

Elizabeth: This incident now lies several years behind us. At the time, the whole experience, from my being lodged under the truck, being rescued, and being hospitalized briefly, only struck me as nonsensical.
