Standing firm

I stand firm in the winds of adversity. Nothing moves me when my hands cling to the ramparts of Truth. Nothing moves me when my feet are fixed on the platform of Truth.
For my thought, through prayer, to the living Christ is linked.
For my conscience, with the star of peace that shone on Bethlehem, is illuminated.
For my soul, by the joy of Spirit sung by the angels in the night, is nurtured.
Like the shepherds of old, we can run in the night—the dark moments of life—in full safety to find the newborn babe,
symbol of the perfect expression of eternal Life,
symbol of divine Love’s activity, available to humanity and the universe to cast away injustices and unmerited suffering.
Like the shepherds of old, we can then return,
filled with gratitude and humility for this unity with the creator,
uplifted by the conviction of God’s presence on earth as in heaven and by the desire to prove that God is just and that His law of infinite good is real.
With the recompense of a recovered harmony, we are enriched by a higher sense of existence.
