A mother's long-distance prayer for her son

Originally appeared on spirituality.com

The phone rang. It was my son Chase, calling from school. He blurted out that he was in great pain.

He was scheduled to be in a strenuous sports class in ten minutes. His school requires that anyone who misses a class must go to the school infirmary, or else they’d be counted as cutting the class. Chase couldn’t even stand up, much less walk to the infirmary. He needed help.

Although I longed to be there to comfort my son, I fully trusted that the love of his Father-Mother God was already tenderly embracing and holding him.
