On Love’s “unlimited plan”
Talk, text, and data. Many phone companies advertise unlimited plans for our mobile devices. But what if there were an unlimited plan not just for our phones but for our lives—our health, our supply, our success, our happiness?
The Bible is pretty clear that this is, in fact, God’s plan for His children. Jesus assures us, “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32). This kingdom includes all—every single individual and thing God made. And since God, good, is the only cause and creator, He made all, and all that was made is good. God’s perfect design is for us to express His goodness, which is wholly spiritual. God, Spirit, gives each of us, His beloved sons and daughters, all good and sustains us and that good forever.
For us to recognize that we are included in God’s “unlimited plan,” we will need to lift thought to this true sense of ourselves as spiritual, not material. That may sound difficult until we learn that Christ, the true, incorporeal idea of God, is even now helping us to do that. When we listen in humility, we hear Christ, Truth, voicing good, reminding us of our real, spiritual being, and destroying anything in our consciousness that would claim to separate us from that nature.
