You can help heal political turmoil
The law of Love, God, restores harmony and meets every need according to divine wisdom, not human opinion.
News reports these days almost always include accounts of disruption as well as situations and acts that many feel are threats to democratic principles and just government. In watching these reports, I’ve sometimes felt a little like the Bible character Job when he said, “The thing which I greatly feared is come upon me” (Job 3:25).
For individual citizens, there are channels through which to make our voices heard. These are useful, but when the need seems dire, are these channels enough?
As a Christian Scientist, whenever I have encountered circumstances that could harm my family or me, I’ve found that the power of prayer can bring about a resolution. These circumstances have included job loss, complications with the births of our children, professional challenges, health problems, financial hardships, extreme depression, and loneliness. These healings proved to me that God does help us individually in times of trouble. So why would He not help with problems humanity is facing collectively at this or any other time?
