The Shepherd’s care
Lambs follow their Shepherd,
all needs supplied.
Their rest they take unfettered,
calmly satisfied.
God’s lambs joyfully will
leave the path material
and follow onward till
all signs are spiritual.
The lambs frolic upward
in His presence with no fear.
The mountain path leads forward
with the Shepherd ever near.
The outgrown lies below;
heaven’s manna is above—
a cornucopia bestowed
by the Shepherd’s love.
