God’s love and care: never lost

Nothing spiritual can ever be lost, because what God, infinite Spirit, creates is eternal.

So many today are dealing with loss—perhaps the loss of companionship, family, home, health, financial stability, purpose.

The teachings of Christ Jesus reveal that everyone has innate wholeness and value, found in God, who is described in the Bible as Love itself. These teachings also offer deep insights into this wholeness and value. For instance, Jesus relates a parable about a shepherd who sets out to find one lost sheep out of his flock of one hundred (see Luke 15:3–7). This illustrates God’s tender attention to all of His children, even when it seems that we’ve ignorantly wandered away from our Father-Mother’s care and safety.

God, being ever present, tenderly lifts us up and gently places us on His “shoulders,” safely bringing us home in the knowledge of Love’s infinite care. Divine Love makes itself known to and felt by all, and this omnipresent Love can never be lost. Nor does Love ever lose sight of any one of us.
