Warts quickly gone

One summer years ago, my husband and I noticed that our son had developed a number of plantar warts on the bottoms of his feet. He was a little guy, going into the second grade, and they seemed to interfere with his summer fun.

Shortly after we began praying about this, it came to me to suggest to my son that he ask his Sunday School teacher to pray for him. This thought was interesting to me because his teacher and I were not close and occasionally disagreed on fundamental issues.

The next time our son saw his teacher, he did ask her, and within two days the warts fell out of his feet. In a couple more days, the little holes that were left filled in and his feet were perfectly normal.

I was deeply touched by the naturalness of the healing, and knew that the love that our son’s teacher felt for him as God’s beloved child had been the impetus for the healing. I felt such love and appreciation for the Sunday School teacher as a reflection of God’s great love, and a warm relationship developed between us as a result. I also appreciated this teacher’s immediate willingness to step up and provide Christian Science treatment for our son, even though she was not listed in The Christian Science Journal as a Christian Science practitioner or in the full-time practice of Science. She obviously saw that it was her natural duty as a Christian Scientist to heal.

How grateful we all were for this proof of God’s love and the effectiveness of Christian Science!

God works in us to will,

His is the power by which

   His be the glory too.
