Healed of a fever

One time I had a bad fever. My head hurt a lot. I stayed home from school with my dad. That night, my mom read me the Christian Science Bible Lesson. This gave me an angel thought, which was that God cannot turn off and on. He stays on all the time. God’s power is always at work to heal and bring good. 

I used that angel thought for the rest of the day. At the end of the day, I was feeling a little better, but not quite well. So I stayed home the next day again. 

My mom prayed for me and gave me more angel thoughts that were helpful whenever I felt tired or weak. She said that sickness was like a dream, so we need to wake up and see ourselves happy and healthy. In the Bible it says, “Ascribe greatness to our God! The Rock, his work is perfect” (Deuteronomy 32:3, 4, New Revised Standard Version). I am God’s work, perfect as God is. Another thought that helped me was to love so that I can feel God, because God is Love.
