A new President of the Board of Education

It is with unbounded gratitude, admiration, and love for Olga Chaffee, CSB, that the Christian Science Board of Directors informs you that after six years of outstanding service on the Board of Education, Olga is returning to her primary work of Christian Science practice and teaching. Olga’s practical affection for Christian Science teachers and for their associations worldwide has been extraordinary. In her service to the Board of Education she has been an exceptional mentor.

Scott Preller, CSB, is assuming the responsibilities of the President of the Board of Education, effective June 20, 2011. As a public practitioner, teacher, lecturer, and contributor to the periodicals, Scott’s early and consistent commitment to the Cause of Christian Science has blessed many lives across numerous continents. Christian Science teachers and their associations will notice a continuity of the very special caring they have experienced from Olga. During the past two years as a Trustee of The Christian Science Publishing Society, Scott has demonstrated his capacity to understand and uplift the day-to-day activities necessary to Church organization. He will continue to serve as a Trustee of the Publishing Society until a new Trustee has been appointed.

Members of this Church have much to be grateful for in the devotion of thought to demonstrating practical Christianity which these two individuals have shown, and for all those who serve this Church selflessly and effectively. It is a privilege to serve with them.
