No more earache

One day I had an earache. When my father got home from work, he came to talk with me. He told me about how I could be healed through prayer. My father read to me from a little book called God Is Right Here.* It had many stories about children who were healed through turning to God. I knew that God was there for me, too. 

In the Christian Science Sunday School I had learned that God is the only power and He made everything good. God does not cause us to be sick and hurting. I loved the words of a hymn by Mary Baker Eddy because they showed me that pain is not a real power. I could see that it did not come from God, since God is good and God is All. The third verse of the hymn goes like this:
