DON'T BELIEVE A MISTAKE!

In my elementary school we had Sports' Day every year. When I was in second grade, we competed in sprinting, throwing balls for distance, and long-jump.

While some kids from my class and I were waiting for our turn to sprint, we played on a climbing structure in the schoolyard. I slipped and hurt my leg. I thought I couldn't run anymore in the competition. Then I went and told my mother, who was helping with timing the sprinters.

My mother and I started praying. I attend a Christian Science Sunday School, and I'd learned that God made everything good. Anything that isn't good is a mistake or error about God's creation. My mother said I didn't need to let an error stop me. Only if you believe an error, does it seem to have power. I understood that an injury wasn't part of God's creation. So it couldn't really have power over me.
