Things you've shared

God guides me

Father, show me the way.
Tell me what to say ...
You alone can guide me through the day.
Without anger, fear, or despair,
There's only happiness in the air.
And it feels like a soft teddy bear.

God is everything

God makes the moonlight that shimmers on the ocean.

God makes the flowers that bloom in my heart.

God is at home and makes you feel warm and safe.

God is with you when you go to school.

And He makes you feel smart and ready to go.

Don't snooze

One night, my alarm clock woke me up at 12:00 a.m. I was so tired that I just hit the snooze button. On my alarm clock when you hit the snooze button, alarm will come back on in seven minutes. I hit snooze two more times before I realized that I needed to turn off the alarm because I had set it wrong.

In the morning. I was really tired. But then I thought I didn't just need to hit snooze on anything that was not part of my true nature–I could turn it off and stop it. This helped me because I never thought about being tired again. And the rest of the day I was my happy self.

I've used this snoozing and turning off idea for other situations. One time in band I was frustrated. I thought of all the other things I could be doing rather than playing music. Then I remembered I could turn off this wanting to be somewhere else. And then I enjoyed band!
