Going Swimming

One time I was playing in the pool with my friends before my swim practice. We were tossing a ball to each other. While we were playing, the ball landed outside of the pool, on the deck. I decided to go out and get it.

While retrieving the beach ball, I accidentally scraped myself on the crank that's used to roll the tarp across the pool. At first I didn't notice it, and continued going after the ball. It wasn't until we were back in the pool that I felt something hurting on my knee. I noticed a thin streak of blood on my skin and inspected it. It started to grow bigger until I decided that just looking at it wasn't the answer. So I silently prayed for myself.

I thought about how God is Love, and God is always with me. I thought to myself that if this was true, then I was in God's care right then and couldn't be hurt. I kept praying that way.

Afterward, I had swim practice. When I swam, my knee didn't hurt anymore. In fact, I swam better than I ever had before. My coach said I was doing so well that I was actually doing twice as well as I usually do.

A couple of days later, I noticed that there was no scrape or cut anymore. Nothing. My knee was totally healed.
