Quick headache relief

Time Off Is terrific when you have a hectic life, a fast–paced job, and some special events to look forward to. Unfortunately, after a recent three–day break I did not feel at all refreshed or relaxed—and I brought a vicious headache back to work with me.

I never really got to relax and enjoy myself during the break — there were so many errands that kept me rushing around. Well, I did manage to get to a Sting concert on the last night, and while that was the highlight, it ended with a very long and slow ride home in a snowstorm. I finally got home at 2 a.m. Ugh! Then it was back to work for a brisk day of meetings and managing. I made it through, thinking I'd get home that night, relax, and climb into bed to catch up on sleep.

It didn't work out that way. I woke up at 4:30 a.m. with a piercing headache — I'm talking serious pain here. All I wanted was just to lie there and go back to sleep, fast. I'd suffered other headaches like this, and they'd lasted all day.
