I am deeply grateful to be a student of Christian Science. Through the study of what I recognize as the Science of God, I have experienced many healings and learned a great deal about divine Love.

Last year when I was pregnant with our second child, I began to have all of the evidence that I was about to have a miscarriage. (I'd miscarried before, and all of the symptoms were the same.)

Overwrought with fear, I called a Christian Science practitioner to pray with me. This dear woman told me firmly and clearly that man is spiritual rather than physiological, and that nothing was going wrong with me or the baby in the sight of God. This aroused my thought. I realized I had been thinking of pregnancy as almost entirely a physiological experience. I was then able to begin challenging the physical evidence of life and death in matter, and to turn calmly and understandingly to God and His spiritual, perfect creation.

I still felt very fearful at times throughout the day, but I did not react to or examine the changes my body seemed to be going through. At one point when I thought I was losing the baby, I turned wholeheartedly to God. "Only by the grace of God can this be healed," I thought. At that moment, I became less fearful, and the frightening symptoms stopped.

At the time I was working on the fourteenth floor of an office building, and noticed an airplane passing by my window. The thought came to me the people were safe inside the airplane while it was supported by the laws of flight. I realized there was nothing more complicated about my carrying a child while obeying the spiritual laws of God, the only divine Life.

There was no miscarriage. A healthy baby was born quickly and harmoniously on his expected due date.

This is only one precious example of the healings I have witnessed through prayer. Christian Science truly is my salvation. I am very grateful to God.
