It's impossible to ignore the fact that, after witnessing Jesus' resurrection, the disciples became dedicated healers. They couldn't help it, with everything they'd seen and learned. The risen Christ provides an unparalleled demonstration of God's love, and Jesus' example is just as potent today. It shows each of us the genuine way of healing through the power of God.

Recently a man wrote of an experience in the Peace Corps. He said that during his assignment in Central America he "became almost blind in one eye." But he also wrote, "As I prayed ... my concept of sight changed from seeing a material image to spiritual discernment."

This account was printed in the Sentinel a few weeks ago, and it illustrates how God's healing influence—the Christ—touches and improves thought. The man told of how grateful he was "for the spiritual growth that took place during this healing, and in particular for how my perception of others improved." The Christ healed this man. It can heal you.

Mary Baker Eddy, who established this magazine, once sent an Easter message to her Church. Her words began: "Beloved Brethren:—May this glad Easter morn find the members of this dear church having a pure peace, a fresh joy, a clear vision of heaven here,—heaven within us,—and an awakened sense of the risen Christ" (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany).

The entire staff of the Sentinel extends this same Easter benediction to all of you.
